44% OF HOMES WERE BOUGHT BY WALL STREET INVESTORS -- FALSE. The gullibility of those fostering class warfare and anti-capitalism is so far off the numbers it's laughable. Yet, the disinformation created a frenzy on social media and with several politicians.

Despite the hype, big investors are still a tiny percentage of homebuyers and not to blame for extremely low housing inventory.

Many middle class families are surprised with capital gains taxes when selling a parent's improperly titled property after death. Properly handled, this is avoided. Under the Biden Tax Plan, removing the step up in basis will cause all inherited properties to be subject to capital gains taxes on sale.

California AB-85 as approved by King Gavin on June 29, 2020, exempts a limited partnership, a limited liability partnership, and limited liability company that files, registers, or organizes to do business in CA, from the payment of the annual tax in its first taxable year, for taxable years beginning on or after January 1, 2020, and before January 1, 2024.
If you form one of these entities in this time period, you will now get a little break your first year. Feel free to contact my office for entity formation, maintenance and dissolution.
