Myers has combined a special expertise in taxation and business transactions with extensive experience in litigation and trial advocacy to offer Louisiana business clients a complement of capabilities and skills that few individual attorneys can match. Myers began his legal career in 1979 in Washington, D.C. as an attorney- advisor to Ju

dge Edward S. Smith, United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington, D.C. In this capacity he conducted legal research and wrote memoranda on a broad range of federal taxation issues, as well as federal contract and civilian pay disputes. From 1981-1983 Mr. Myers worked as an attorney at the United States Treasury Department in Washington, D.C. There he gained invaluable experience in many areas of federal taxation, including foreign and domestic personal holding companies, investment tax credits, allocations of partnership losses, the taxation of Subchapter S corporations, unreported taxable income and tax fraud, as well as U.S. Tax Court procedure. In 1983 Mr. Myers relocated to Louisiana and became a member of the Louisiana State Bar. He then began his career as both a counselor and advocate for Louisiana businesses – many of which have been engaged in the petroleum and energy industries. With a solid grounding in the fundamentals of federal taxation and related business transactions that spawn tax liabilities, Mr. Myers has been able to help Louisiana businesses both in business and tax planning as well as in litigation and trial advocacy.

Just returning from a fabulous birthday party. My dear friend Deborah at a high tea gathering at her house to celebrate her 70th birthday! Everything was perfect from the champagne to the harvest to the flowers to the cuisine. It was over the top fabulous!
