Thank you to all who dropped off donations and participated in helping those suffering from the effects of Hurricane Ida in Dulac, Louisiana.

On Saturday, a trailer full of supplies was disbursed amongst families there. Hundreds of bottles of cold water and over 200 hot meals were served. We were so happy to have a part in this effort!

If you would like to continue donating, consider checking out DTB Mutual Aid Fund (Down the Bayou), who are raising funds to help our neighbors in South Lafourche.

Join us in the effort to come to the aid of those left devastated by Hurricane Ida. We were very fortunate here in Lafayette Parish to have not experienced the same damage currently debilitating the people of New Orleans and the smaller, surrounding parishes. We will stand with our neighboring communities who are in desperate need of help.

Many of us prepared diligently, collecting necessities like gallons of water, non-perishable food items, tarps, flashlights, bug spray, toiletries, etc. that are now, for a lot of us, sitting in our homes untouched and no longer needed. We will be collecting donations for the rest of the week and bringing them all to Dulac, Louisiana this Saturday, September 4th. Please bring your donations to our office at 969 Coolidge Blvd., Lafayette, La 70503.

If you are unable to donate, please share this message so that we can extend the opportunity to as much of our community as we can reach.

We remember the times when we’ve been most in need, uplifted by the selfless generosity of our neighbors. Now it is time we become those neighbors too, to help those left most in need by Hurricane Ida.
