When our client suffered a medical emergency that resulted in paralysis, the other parent sought sole custody and requested that our client’s time with her child be limited to supervised visitation.

JaVonna refused to let our client be defined by her disability. She fought to ensure the Court recognized our client’s abilities, her dedication as a parent, and her fundamental right to maintain a meaningful relationship with her child.

The Court rejected the request for sole custody and supervised visitation. Instead, our client was awarded joint custody along with liberal unsupervised visitation.

This outcome serves as an important reminder: disability alone does not determine a person’s ability to parent. Every parent deserves to be judged on their capabilities, not assumptions.

Congratulations, India! Client was charged with several violent offenses. After carefully reviewing body camera footage, India successfully convinced the prosecutor to dismiss the violent charges. Attention to details is very important! Always firm. Always fair. Always fierce.
