He was just driving down LA Highway 408 when an 18-wheeler changed lanes right into him. His truck spun across the median into oncoming traffic, where it was hit again.

Join us in congratulating our three BDM October work anniversaries.

Scott Richard is celebrating 7 years with us. Scott grew up right here in Lafayette, and he’s spent his career fighting for people who have been seriously injured. Sadie, our medical paralegal, is celebrating 3 years. She’s someone our attorneys and clients count on every day. And Tim Rinaldi, our Chief Operating Officer, is celebrating his first year. Tim keeps the office running and brings a strategic eye to everything he does.

The Louisiana Board of Regents met in September to review progress across the state’s higher education system. Our partner Blake David serves on the Louisiana Board of Regents, representing the 3rd Congressional District, and is a past chair of the Board.

The same communities we fight for in the courtroom benefit when more people can access classrooms. A degree or a skilled credential helps families stay financially stable, opens employment options, and gives more of Acadiana a foundation to stand on. A warm meal and a friendly face can make a difference. That’s why members of our BDM team regularly volunteer at St. Joseph Diner. Last week, our team had the privilege of serving breakfast to our neighbors in downtown Lafayette.

Our relationship with St. Joseph’s Diner goes back years. In 2021, we committed to supporting the expansion of its Food Bank and Diner to help make meals and essential resources more accessible to those in need.

Lafayette is our home, and we believe in taking care of the community that has supported us for generations.

Brenda (Bre) Reed passed the July 2026 bar exam on her first try, and we’ve been beaming for her since the results came in.

Preparing for the bar takes months of hard work, and Bre took it on with the same focus and care she brings to work every day. We loved cheering her on, and we were even happier to celebrate with her. There were BDM cookies, a bottle of bubbly and a team night out downtown to mark the occasion.

When one of us reaches a milestone like this, the whole team shows up. Congratulations, Bre. We’re so proud of you. 🎉

Broussard, David & Moroux is proud to sponsor Friday Night Lights at St. Thomas More this season. For firm partner Blake David, Friday nights are hard to beat, especially when it’s your alma mater on the field.

He’s an STM grad, his oldest attended STM, and his two youngest are in the halls there now. Blake has been part of this community as a student and as a parent, and he’s seen firsthand the opportunities this school gives its students.

Friday night football brings people together all over Acadiana, and we’re glad to support high school athletics here at home, starting with a school that means so much to our team.

We traded our desks for bowling lanes at our quarterly team gathering, spending the afternoon catching up, sharing a few laughs and enjoying some friendly competition. 🎳

One of the best moments came before the bowling even started, when one of our own treated everyone to a beautiful rendition of the national anthem.

Blake David and Jerome Moroux enjoyed spending time with friends and colleagues at the Louisiana State Bar Association’s Admiralty Law Symposium, where they presented a maritime law CLE and Blake served as co-chair of the program.
