Do you need a Will? Fun Fact - If you die without a will in Texas and are married, but have children with someone other than your current spouse, when you die, your current spouse only keeps 1/2 of the community property (property the two of you acquired during the marriage) and the other 1/2 goes to your children. 😳😳😳😳The surviving spouse is left with 1/2 of the bank account and 1/2 of the car and 1/2 of the house you bought together.

DO YOU NEED A WILL -- FUN FACT: Under Texas law, if you are remarried with children from a prior marriage, and die without a will, your current spouse receives 1/3 of your separate personal property and your children receive the other 2/3. What if your children are minors? Your ex-spouse could receive control of 2/3 of the personal property you received in the divorce from the ex-spouse. 😳 What if you are the current spouse...just saying....might want to talk to your spouse about making a will.

Have you ever wondered if you needed a will? Texas has a complex system of property ownership and intestate succession may not be how you want your assets to be distributed.
