Thank you to everyone who came to the Barristers Elections and Holiday Party on Wednesday! It was wonderful to see old and new friends as we celebrated a year of hard work. And thank you to our sponsor, LexisNexis, for making this event possible.

Hon. Zack Walden passed the gavel to our 2024 Barristers President, Chuck Sharrett, and in a historic election, the Barristers' votes for Secretary/Treasurer ended in a tie! We're pleased to announce that this means that alongside Vice-President Jimmy Snodgrass, Courteney Barnes-Anderson will serve as our 2024 Treasurer and Jordan Houser as our 2024 Secretary. Mariel Bough and Isaac Westling were also elected as the 2024 Barristers Members-at-Large. The future looks bright for the KBA Barristers!

This total will be matched by Second Harvest, meaning that the number of total meals your dollars provided is: 75,979!! This is an incredible outpouring of support, and so many East Tennesseans will be able to combat hunger this season because of YOU.

Our Second Harvest Food & Fund Drive ends at midnight on Tuesday, Nov. 28! Just $1 donated provides 3 meals for families in East TN, and your efforts have raised an incredible $8,030 so far. It's a tight race for our top 3 teams, but anything can happen in 36 hours! 👀

We are two weeks into the competition - and it is heating up🔥 Rankings are determined by dividing the donated team dollars into "meals per employee," and right now we have a total of ✨$6,930✨ towards our goal of $20,000! All KBA members can help us reach 50% by the end of this week by donating cash, checks, or physical non-perishable food. Let's help Second Harvest keep folks fed this winter!

We are one week into the Hunger & Poverty committee's annual Food & Fund Drive for Second Harvest! Rankings are determined by dividing the donated team dollars into "meals per employee". We have a goal of raising $20,000 by November 28, and we are currently at $2,425! All KBA members are welcome to donate, even if they aren't in the competition.
