Today is Memorial Day. A special day set aside to honor those brave heroes who gave their lives to keep you and I and our Country safe. We should forever remember and honor these heroes. Today I visited the grave of a hero I never had an opportunity to know. He was killed on January 3, 1945, at the Battle of the Bulge in Belgium, one of the defining battles of World War II which raged on for about one month. He died three weeks shy of his 20th birthday! He is my father!!

Christmas is the most beautiful time of the year. Not just for its most important significance, the birth of Jesus, but for the time we set aside to have meaningful contact with our friends, neighbors, and loved ones. My hope is that each and every person who reads this post will slow down and take the time to thank God for the blessings received and to be received, and to express the love felt toward family and friends.
