Woolf McClane is pleased to introduce our newest associate, Charles (Chuck) Sharrett! Mr. Sharrett’s primary practice area is construction law. He represents owners, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, and specialty contractors in the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts, the preparation and resolution of contract and lien claims, and defending and pursuing litigation. He also assists contractors in getting licensed through the State of Tennessee. Welcome to the WMBAC family!

Last week the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel held its 2024 Annual Meeting in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Woolf McClane Member Chad Hatmaker, left, was a co-presenter for a session on emerging employment law issues. Topics covered included the FTC Final Rule banning most noncompete agreements, changes to certain FLSA exemptions and the new regulations under the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act.

Please join us in congratulating Ford Little on his appointment to the Tennessee Fish & Wildlife Commission. Appointed by Governor Bill Lee, Ford was unanimously confirmed by the Legislature (Senate 32-0; House 94-0). He will be representing District 2 which includes Anderson, Blount, Campbell, Cumberland, Knox, Loudon, Morgan, Roane, Scott, Sevier, and Union counties. Ford is an avid hunter and fisherman, and he looks forward to serving our great state through February 2029 in his role on the TWRA.
