Our Story
The Probate Law Firm is a law firm dedicated entirely to providing legal services in the areas of probate and estate planning. In a nutshell, probate is the a legal process that has to be done in order to get people their inheritance. For example, when someone dies, either without or without a will, their assets, such as a house, money, etc., may go to their only child. The child, will likely need to hire a probate attorney to help them take possession of the house, money, etc. This is what we do. We guide people through the legal process so that they can get their inheritance. First and foremost, we understand that if you are facing the probate process, you are likely going through a difficult time after the passing of a loved one. Our mission is to shoulder the burden of your legal issues by guiding you every step of the way. Yes, that means handling the paperwork. It means helping you and your family get the inheritance you are entitled to. But it also means giving you direct answers, keeping you informed, and providing you with an overall stress-free, streamlined probate process. Estate planning on the other hand could really be called probate prevention and is something that is done prior to death. Most people have heard of a Last Will and Testament, also known as a “Will.” We draft Wills and other estate planning documents such as Trusts, which can help people avoid probate. We also help people plan for potential catastrophic events and make sure they have documents in place, such as a Durable Power of Attorney and Living Will, so that someone can make medical decisions on their behalf in the event that they are unable to do so. And lastly, estate planning involves helping families with young children put a plan in place so that if something were to happen to the parents, the children would be protected.
Our mission is to help families plan for the inevitable and then help them through the probate process if necessary. We value our clients as family members and they see us the same way. We hope to be a part of your family!
