Duty calls!

Sometimes my clients (or their families) need me at 9 o’clock at night. My day usually doesn’t end just because I left the office and rarely does it end at 5 p.m. The collateral consequences of picking up charges are just as important to my clients as the case itself. So when my client’s family needed help with navigating the impoundment of the vehicle and said they could only go at 9 p.m., I went to the impound lot at 9 p.m. to help them.

Special thanks to my husband too for driving me this late. He is the biggest supporter of my work and I am so thankful for him.

Stopped in at my bank today and spotted this awesome local business/community board that they had up. I love supporting local businesses, but I was so surprised to find my own business card up there!

I’ve been banking with Fifth Third Bank since I was 16 when I opened a new account to deposit my first ever paycheck. When I moved to Knoxville, I was so happy there was a local branch in Bearden so I wouldn’t have to switch banks. When I opened my business, I never thought twice about opening my business accounts with them. I love this branch and the folks who work there. It’s one of those places where I actually love going inside instead of using a convenience option because I like catching up with everyone there. I’m excited they’ve been expanding in the local region and are a growing part of the community!

Your lawyer got married this weekend!

Thus, I will be out of the office on my honeymoon from 6/22-7/7. I will be unavailable to personally handle your calls, texts, or emails, or to appear in court. Though my calendar has been cleared, should anything come up or you seek assistance in the meantime, you may contact Jody Smith at [email protected]. Ms. Smith will also be covering my phone part-time. I will begin returning calls, texts, and emails myself on 7/8.

Court dates can be confirmed most efficiently by calling the clerk’s office of the county your case is pending. Though she is extremely capable and knowledgeable, Ms. Smith will not be able to give you any details or advice about your case.
