Diana Jean Bettles Attorney at Law Meet Diana Bettles. Diana graduated from the Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark, in 2013. Diana is the proud mother of three daughters and one son.

Diana is a local resident from Klamath County and was raised in Chiloquin, Oregon. With a background in family and child advocacy, Diana is excited to be practicing Law in her home county. During law school, Diana worked on juvenile dependency matters. In this role, she advocated for the rights of the youth and families, participated in many child and family team planning meetings, and assisted with the Multnomah County Parenting Time Committee in creative ways of increasing parenting time with children in the Juvenile Court system. As a practicing attorney Diana works primarily in criminal defense, juvenile dependency, family law matters and estate management. Prior to Law School, Diana worked for the Klamath Tribes as the Court Administrator for the Tribal Courts. Being part of a Native Community and Family, Diana took part in many of the cultural customs and traditions while growing up. While working as the Court Administrator, Diana advocated for upholding tribal member rights and worked with the Chief Justice and the Tribes' Judicial Commission to develop Tribal Codes and build programs in order to provide a broader range of services to the Tribal Community. While attending law school Diana enjoyed several Indian Law courses and participated in the National Native American Law Student Association (NNALSA) Moot Court competition. Diana holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Southern Oregon University. A true local, Diana enjoys being outdoors and all of the local recreational activities that Southern Oregon offers.

Treatment Court Tuesdays - when we come together to assist with those that are struggling with mental health and addictions who find themselves involuntarily interacting with the criminal justice system.
It is a busy day where we collaborate with service providers in our community who work with these individuals in order to provide the best outcome for all involved.

Itā€™s official! Please let me introduce you to the NEW owners of Basin Martini Bar, Mariah & Darrel Gardner. Many of our patrons will recognize that face, as she has been our bartender and manager for nearly 5 years!

A little backstoryā€¦we hired Mariah literally over the phone; she came as a referral from a friend and she started the very day we called her! We were desperate, she hadnā€™t bartended before, I looked her up on socials, she was cuuuute, and we took a gamble. Turns out it was one of the best business decisions we ever made. This girl is fierce! She isnā€™t afraid of hard work and that is hard to come by these days.

We trained her up, and today she could probably teach us more than a few things behind the bar. She took a little hiatus to teach post Co&*d, we missed her, and Iā€™d like to think maybe she missed us too, but either way, she came back!! We watched her get married, and I felt like she was one of my own that day. To see the bar go to someone who I know will fight like hell to see it succeed is all I ever wanted for it from the day we decided to sell it. My husband and I met there, and have owned it for just over 6 years, but before that it belonged to my brother and sister-in-law since they opened it in 2008, so its continued success has meant a great deal to me.

I canā€™t think of two better people to keep the chill vibes at Basin Martini Bar alive. Please continue to support Mariah & Darrel as you have done us. Be good to them, and they will always do right by you, Iā€™m sure of it. Come in soon, and often, to show them some love.

And finally, my family and I would like to thank you for the support that you have shown us over the last six years. We have enjoyed serving you and getting to know many of you during that time. This is a bittersweet chapter in our lives, and weā€™re incredibly thankful to those of you, customers and employees alike, that helped us write it. Cheers, friends! I am so very honored and humbled by receiving the Joyce Ann Harpole award for 2024.

I have always believed we are only as ā€˜goodā€™ as the supports we have in our lives and this award has demonstrated such. It is the relationships we cultivate that bring meaning.

Unbeknownst to me, a recommendation was made by an esteemed colleague and beloved mentor, references were also received by other colleagues and those I am honored to call friends. Earlier this month, at the ceremony, many kind words were read from those that I respect and work with.

Understandably I find myself overwhelmed with the support and consideration that has been provided to me, and in the extraordinary efforts put forth.
