Kenosha Landlord Meeting May 20,2026
Topic: DATCP - What Landlords Need to Know & How to NOT Become a Target!

The Kenosha Landlord Association invites landlords, property managers, and real estate investors to a special meeting on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Birchwood Grill in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The evening begins with appetizers and networking at 6:30 PM, followed by the meeting and presentation at 7:00 PM.

This session will feature Aaron Romens, Supervisor of the Mediation Unit for the Wisconsin DATCP Bureau of Consumer Protection. His unit handles more than 2,000 landlord-tenant complaints each year, and he brings extensive experience as both a former DATCP mediator and past Program Director for the Tenant Resource Center in Madison.

Attendees will gain practical insight into Wisconsin landlord-tenant laws and how DATCP handles complaints, investigations, and enforcement actions. Key topics will include lease requirements, security deposits, prohibited lease provisions, pet policies, and common compliance issues, along with best practices for protecting rental operations and avoiding costly mistakes. This is an opportunity to better understand what can trigger enforcement actions, how disputes are handled, and what steps landlords can take to stay compliant and protect their investments. Participants will also be able to ask questions directly related to DATCP procedures and landlord-tenant dispute resolution.

Landlords serious about running a legally sound rental business are encouraged to attend and bring your questions!! There will be a $20 Charge for Non-Members
