Shalom Center is hosting a winter coat drive to provide community members with coats for this winter season. Please donate clean, gently used or new winter coats in all sizes. We will be collecting coats from October 1st through November 30th. The coats will be distributed to residents and program participants of the Shalom Center in December. Drop off locations include Shalom Center (M-F 9am - 4pm at Door #1), Kenosha Public Safety Building (Front Lobby), KPL Northside Neighborhood Library, and KPL Southwest Neighborhood Library.

The City of Kenosha will offer free document shredding for residents at three locations on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026.

The document shredding takes place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Northside Library, 1500 27th Ave., Kenosha Water Utility, 4401 Green Bay Road; and also a NEW location: Kenosha Emerging Leaders Academy, 2222 63rd St.

Kenosha residents are welcome to bring up to five bags or boxes of items to be shredded by Shred-It representatives.
