Good afternoon,
We hope you will join us Saturday, October 28th, for the third Henssler Financial Poker Run benefitting the Kennesaw Public Safety Foundation and the Acworth Police Community Foundation! Register here! https://craneelderlaw.com/poker-run
We will be meeting at Henssler Financial between 8:00am – 9:00am where riders will be registered, draw their first poker cards, and receive their shirts, scorecards, and other important information.
When: 8:00 am – 9:00 am
Where: Henssler Financial (3735 Cherokee St NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144)
We will depart from Henssler Financial at 9:00am to begin the ride. To clarify, this is a hard start to avoid timing issues we have had in the past. The route proceeds north and more detailed description will follow. It will be an estimated 3-4 hours long.
A barbeque lunch will be available for returning riders from 1:00pm-1:30pm.
Additionally, there will be opportunities to multiply your chances of winning the $1,000 prize, purchase extra shirts, and enter a raffle drawing for some fantastic prizes! Interested riders must be back from their ride by 2:00pm to be considered in the raffle. Please remember to bring extra money if you are interested in participating in any of these. All proceeds benefit the public safety foundations!

Congratulations to our very own Shelley A. Elder for being awarded the James L. Rhoden Jr. Award for Visionary Philanthropy at yesterday’s Cobb Chamber Marquee Monday event! Awarded by the Cobb Community Foundation, this honor recognizes a Cobb business and community leader who makes significant contributions to the community through gifts of time, talent and treasure.

Shelley serves on the board at LiveSafe Resources and The Extension, Inc., The Northwest Family YMCA, Cobb County Schools Foundation, and Kennesaw Public Safety Foundation. She’s extremely passionate about North Cobb Rotary Club and supportive of countless non-profits. We couldn't be more proud!

Now more than ever, it’s essential for women to be able to manage their own finances. Young women are waiting longer to marry, divorce happens, and (in most cases) women outlive their male counterparts, putting them in sole control of their financial situation late in life. Today, Shelley talked to the KBA Women’s luncheon about why all of these things make it so important to build women’s financial literacy and confidence!
