December is Impaired Driving Prevention Month.

This month aims to raise awareness about the risks of impaired driving and encourages everyone to make responsible choices behind the wheel.

With holiday celebrations underway, remember: if your plans include alcohol, use a rideshare or choose a designated driver. By planning ahead, we can reduce impaired driving incidents and keep our communities safe.

Always choose to drive sober.

Over 50 million people are expected to travel for Thanksgiving this year, making it one of the busiest and most dangerous times to be on the road. Here are a few simple ways to help keep you and your loved ones safe this holiday:

1. Buckle Up Every Ride
Seat belts save lives. Make sure everyone in the car is buckled up before you even start the engine.

2. Avoid Distractions While Driving
Keep your eyes on the road and hands on the wheel. Put phones away, limit multitasking, and stay focused.

3. Plan for Heavy Traffic & Weather
Thanksgiving traffic can be unpredictable. Check the weather, give yourself extra travel time, and stay patient on the road.

4. Never Drink & Drive
If your holiday plans include alcohol, designate a sober driver or use a rideshare service.

Piedmont Injury Law wishes you a safe and happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🚗

Big holidays can lead to choices that have big consequences. That’s why we’re reminding each of you to celebrate responsibly and plan ahead this Labor Day weekend.

In 2022, nearly 500 lives were lost in crashes over Labor Day weekend, and almost 40% involved a drunk driver. A safe ride home via a designated driver or a rideshare can make all the difference.

Our office will be closed on Labor Day as we take time to relax and recharge. We look forward to connecting with you when we return on Tuesday.

Wishing you a safe and relaxing holiday weekend!

In personal injury law, one word lies at the center of most claims: negligence. It refers to a failure to exercise reasonable care, resulting in harm to another person.

Whether it’s a distracted driver, an unsafe property, or a medical professional’s oversight, negligence must be proven to pursue compensation.

Establishing negligence involves showing that the at-fault party had a duty of care, breached that duty, and caused damages as a result. It can be a complex process, but knowing your rights and the legal standards involved is essential if you’ve been injured.

If you or a loved one has been hurt due to someone else’s negligence, our team is here to help you understand your options and advocate for your recovery.
