We have gotten multiple inquiries from folks concerned about vaccine mandates in a number of settings. We are not taking those cases unless other circumstances suggest discrimination or retaliation. All precedent points to these mandates being permissible and necessary.

It is the first case about mandatory coronavirus vaccinations to reach the Supreme Court, but Justice Amy Coney Barrett gave no reason for rejecting the request.

Great news from the Supreme Court today! The Supreme Court ruled gay and transgender people are protected from employment discrimination under Title VII. Maine already had such protections in place under the Maine Human Rights Act. We are happy to see an expansion of rights nationwide.

“An employer who fires an individual for being homos*xual or transgender fires that person for traits or actions it would not have questioned in members of a different s*x. S*x plays a necessary and undisguisable role in the decision, exactly what Title VII forbids,” Justice Neil Gorsuch wrote for the court.

The Supreme Court has ruled that a landmark civil rights law protects gay and le***an people from discrimination in employment.

To our valued clients and colleagues: In order to do our part to help limit the spread of the Coronavirus, White & Quinlan will be limiting office hours between March 16th and March 27th.
