Attorney Wichman visits FOX4 News Kansas City as a guest on Great Day KC show!

Attorney Kevin Wichman had a great time chatting it up with hosts Toni Talley and Carrie Lippert Gillaspie of the lifestyle and news TV show, Great Day KC, on WDAF-TV Fox 4 a few weeks ago. It was great to answer their questions about how it felt to be recognized as a “KC Favorite” trial and criminal defense lawyer as voted on by readers of the KC Star for the third year in a row, the types of criminal cases we are helping with more frequently this time of year, and giving back to the community with Christmas gifts for impoverished children across the world at our office in Miami and soon to also be done at our KC office next season. Wichman Law Firm, headed by Attorney Kevin Wichman, is honored and humbled to have been voted by the readers of the The Kansas City Star (www.kansascity.com), Greater Kansas City's longtime major newspaper, as a "Kansas City Favorite" in 2025 once again, for the third year in a row! Wichman Law Firm was awarded the recognition in all five categories it was nominated in, of Criminal Defense Law, Traffic Ticket Defense Law, DUI/DWI Law, Trial Law, and Law Firm. In past years, WLF was voted a KC Favorite for Trial Law in 2023, and for Criminal Defense Law, and Traffic Ticket Law in 2024.

WLF can't thank our many clients and KC community enough for having voted for us and we will continue to work hard in 2026 to keep up the excellence people deserve when seeking legal help and assistance. Wichman Law Firm was happy to help facilitate Christmas gifts for less fortunate children to open up for Christmas this year! Our office in downtown Miami, Florida was a local drop off center in November of this year for Cross Catholic Outreach , a non-profit Catholic organization headquartered in South Florida, which puts on the program and accepts Boxes of Joy from donors and donor groups across the United States to give to less fortunate children throughout the world and especially in impoverished areas. A "Box of Joy" is a shoebox sized gift filled by the donor with toys and everyday items a child might find necessary and fun to have and receive as a gift, with gifts either being specific to a boy or girl, or a certain age group, or neutral to age and gender. Cross Catholic Outreach then adds to each box a rosary and a Christian story and reading material for them to also have as part of their gift prior to distributing to the children. As one of many drop off centers around the country, Wichman Law Firm's office in Miami, FL served the area and received close to 200 Box of Joy gifts to be then sent off to kids for the holiday. This was our first year doing it and we will again next year in Miami, as well as likely at our Kansas City office to serve that area as well in this neat cause. Attorney Wichman was thrilled to see all the neat and creative individual boxes filled with a variety of toys and trinkets from different individuals and groups in the area, including a student business group from the University of Miami getting involved. We thank Cross Catholic Outreach for putting the program on and giving us all a great opportunity to help others in this way by being a Santa Claus! The children should be starting to receive their gifts now and we hope they bring a little more joy to their life and have a Merry Christmas! 🎅 🎄

Grateful to the longstanding newspaper of record for Kansas City, The Kansas City Star, for recognizing Wichman Law Firm as the winner of a vote they conducted in the first half of this year in 2024. We were voted a “Kansas City Favorite” in our main practice area of criminal defense, and also for the traffic ticket defense category, which is a common subset of that area, involving police work and government prosecution.

Last year, in 2023, we were voted to win for trial law and were incredibly grateful to all who voted for us, and the same goes for this year. Happy to be back-to-back winners of this wonderful honor, and even more so for this year as it is for our primary practice area of criminal defense.

Thank you again to all who voted! It is much appreciated and this honor warmed the heart of Attorney Wichman once again, as it comes from the newpaper he grew up reading and seeing on newpaper racks all over town.
