Kansas City HBAGKC promotes the recruitment and retention of Latino & Hispanic individuals in the legal profession.

The Hispanic Bar Association of Greater Kansas City (HBAGKC) was founded in 1992 by local Latino attorneys and celebrated its 30 year anniversary in 2022. Our goals include providing Hispanic & Latino individuals with financial assistance, continuing legal education (CLE), networking opportunities, and to serve as the voice of the Latino & Hispanic legal community. Every year, HBAGKC hosts a schol

arship reception to fund our scholarship for local Latino law students. Our scholarship was founded in 2007 and is held at the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation. In September 2017, HBAGKC hosted the Hispanic National Bar Associations' Annual Convention. We look forward to future event opportunities for our members and law students!

Kansas City City Manager, Mario Vasquez will be our event speaker.

We will be honoring Judge Bough as the recipient of the prestigious RES Award.

On Thursday, October 2, 2025, we’ll gather at The Juliet for our annual Scholarship Reception — an evening filled with delicious food, lively entertainment from Grupo Quinbaya and DJ’s Petty Offense and Hunni Bunni, and the celebration of three remarkable law students who are this year’s scholarship recipients. 🎓
