Following my previous post about horizontal vs. vertical video, here is the horizontal video of the same property.

My personal preference is always horizontal because it gives you much more freedom to create a cinematic scene. Unfortunately, it’s not always the best format for social media.

What I really love about horizontal video is:
• A wider field of view, which allows you to show more of the property and its surroundings.
• More cinematic composition, with more room to frame the architecture, landscape, and environment.
• Better sense of depth and scale, especially for luxury homes and large outdoor.
• More flexibility in editing, because you can use the space around your subject to create beautiful transitions and compositions.
• A more immersive viewing experience, especially when showcasing ocean views, large rooms, and expansive properties.

For me, horizontal is still the king of cinematic real estate video. 🎥
Vertical is fantastic for social media, but horizontal gives you the canvas to tell the full story of a property.

📸 Today’s Post — Horizontal vs. Vertical: Not Every Property Needs Both. (Tomorrow I ll share the horizontal of this property).

One thing I always consider before shooting a property is whether it actually benefits from vertical photography.

Most of the time, vertical images are created specifically for social media, where the 9:16 format works best. But that doesn’t mean every property needs a full vertical shoot.

When you shoot vertically, you naturally include more ceiling and less of the horizontal space. That can work beautifully in a property with interesting architecture, high ceilings, beams, chandeliers, Ceiling fan or other details worth highlighting.

But not every home or condo has a ceiling that adds anything to the image.

There’s also another important factor: camera angle.
The best composition for a horizontal image is not necessarily the best composition when you rotate the camera vertically. Sometimes you need to completely rethink the position, height, and angle.

Last month, I had the pleasure of spending time Videographing and photographing this extraordinary villa at BayView Estate, Keauhou—one of the most exceptional lot in that community.

Defined by its distinctive U-shaped architecture, lush tropical landscaping, and beautifully curated spaces, the home embraces the Hawaiian lifestyle from every angle. The architecture creates a private, intimate sense of space while opening beautifully toward the breathtaking ocean views.

And then there are the sunsets… 🌅
Golden light pouring through the property, transforming the architecture and creating a setting that feels truly unforgettable.

A rare combination of architecture, location, privacy, and natural beauty—this is luxury living on the Big Island at its finest.

One of my favorite homes in Mauna Lani, right on the golf course, captured at sunset.

A $15million view—where the golf course meets the ocean and every sunset feels a little more magical.

Embrace the peace. Embrace the beauty. Embrace the magic of this place. 🌺🌴

High-end luxury listing in Bayview Estates.
For this reel, I wanted to highlight the incredible location. This beautiful property is just five minutes from Keauhou Bay, tucked away in a secluded, gated community—offering privacy, tranquility, and easy access to the best of the Kona Coast.
