Forgetting that one of the requirements for naturalization is good moral character, an alien from Bhutan applied for citizenship while having an outstanding arrest warrant in Texas. USCIS in Cleveland worked with Federal Protective Service and United States Marshals Service to arrest and extradite the alien to Texas to answer for charges of child abandonment and endangerment.

Effective Jan. 22, 2025, USCIS is waiving any and all requirements that applicants for adjustment of status to that of a lawful permanent resident present documentation on their Form I-693, Report of Immigration Medical Examination and Vaccination Record, that they received the COVID-19 vaccination.
