Volunteer attorneys help bridge that gap by providing free legal assistance to those who need it most. Legal Aid of Arkansas relies on pro bono volunteers to expand access to civil legal services across its service area.

Our friends at Legal Aid of Arkansas, Inc. provide free legal services to thousands of qualifying Arkansans every year, taking on civil cases in areas including family law, consumer issues, bankruptcy and evictions. In addition to attorneys on staff, the nonprofit coordinates volunteer pro bono attorneys to offer statewide support. Their vision? Equal access to justice, regardless of economic or social circumstances. We can’t wait to show off some new work for these legal heroes!

⚖️ A federal trial date has been set in a case challenging housing practices in Jonesboro.

Michelle Walker’s lawsuit challenges Return to the Land membership practices, and the case is now scheduled for trial on December 11, 2028, in Jonesboro.

The allegations have not been decided at trial.
