Murder Charge Dismissed Against Lonoke County Sheriff Nominee Aaron Spencer:

A second-degree murder charge has been officially dismissed against Aaron Spencer, the Lonoke County father and Republican nominee for sheriff who killed a man he accused of sexually abusing his teenage daughter.

Special Judge Ralph Wilson granted a defense motion to throw out the case following the loss of critical evidence: a dash camera SD memory card. The card was most likely recording during the October 2024 encounter in which Spencer killed Michael Fosler.

In a ruling issued Thursday, Judge Wilson stated that "the loss or destruction of the internal SD memory card of the dash camera has adversely impaired the Defendant's ability to defend himself pursuant to these defenses, and thus his right to a fair trial."

At the time he was killed, Fosler was out on bond awaiting trial on multiple counts of child sexual abuse. According to Spencer's defense attorneys, Fosler had sexually abused Spencer's daughter when she was 14 years old.

While acknowledging that throwing out a murder charge is an "extraordinary and extreme remedy," Judge Wilson determined it was necessary due to the handling of the evidence.

"Based on the totality of the circumstances and the unique, specific, and particular facts and circumstances of this case, the Court finds that conduct by law enforcement was so egregious that dismissal of this case is warranted," Wilson wrote in his order.

The dismissal comes just months after Spencer won the Republican nomination for Lonoke County Sheriff in March. In that primary election, he defeated the incumbent sheriff, John Staley who leads the very agency that handled the homicide investigation. Spencer is scheduled to run against Democrat Bryan Mitchell Sr. and independent candidate Larry Behnke in the upcoming fall general election.

This is a Trash move!!!
We need to organize a protest in the parking lot of the Sheriff's Department!!!

WANDERING BADGE MOVES AGAIN?

Following Marion's announcement that Alvin Merele "Trey" Bynum III is no longer employed with the Marion Police Department, allegedly, Mr. Bynum has been rehired by the St. Francis County Sheriff's Office.

I am continuing efforts to obtain official documentation and records regarding this employment status.

If this information is accurate, it raises significant concerns for the public.

Marion's own statement explained that a prior law enforcement agency had been omitted from Bynum's employment application, resulting in incomplete records not being reviewed during the hiring process. Following its review, the City determined that his continued employment was no longer in the best interest of the department, the City, or the community.

That naturally leads to several questions:

If Marion found these issues serious enough to end his employment, what review was conducted before another agency chose to hire him?

Were Marion's findings considered?

What information was available to decision-makers?

Why should the public be expected to accept that these concerns were significant enough for one department to act, but not significant enough to prevent another department from rehiring him?

These are not questions of guilt or innocence. They are questions of transparency, hiring standards, accountability, and public trust.

The public deserves clear answers.

Viewer Discretion Advised:
All in the mindset of an Arkansas State Trooper, Michael Austin Kennedy, who cowardly resigned on May 15, 2026, amid an internal investigation into dozens of racist, sexist, and homophobic text messages exposed by his estranged wife during divorce proceedings.
The Evidence:
Divorce filings in Saline County included at least 30 screenshots of text messages where Kennedy used racial slurs aimed at Black, Hispanic, Muslim individuals, and derogatory terms toward the LGBTQ community.
The Content:
Some of the messages compared Black people to primates, used slurs for individuals he arrested While On Duty, and advocated against the Muslim holiday of Ramadan. He also included a photo of a suspect he arrested, referring to it as a "trophy pic".
The Aftermath: Following the disclosure, Kennedy immediately resigned. His attorney acknowledged and took responsibility for the language in court filings, stating that the messages were "entirely improper" and "do not reflect" his current values, though they claimed the wife used them vindictively for leverage in their divorce and custody battle.

We the People deserve better...

What do you think?

Do you think this Trooper changed his values or is just saying that now that he's in the spotlight?!?

Do you think the wife shared these messages vindictively or do you think she was exposing his true character???
