Just a few weeks ago, Jordan Peters was in a Tennessee state prison serving the 10th year of his 15 year sentence.

His crime - selling $80 worth of mushrooms to someone he thought was a friend who actually was a police informant. The crime happened within 1000 feet of a school which meant he would be sentenced under a Tennessee law called the toughest in the nation.

Jordan was sentenced to 15 years in prison with no chance for early release.

Here's my story on why he's now free.

I'm grateful to Jordan for his honesty and willingness to share his story, and I wish him the best as he rebuilds his life after a decade in jail.
