Is Your Attorney Working “for you” or “against you”?
You're right to question this as hiring a lawyer does NOT mean turning over full control.
Trust them of course, but question the questionable without doubt.
Having a lawyer
Does NOT mean every motion is necessary.
Does NOT mean every battle is worth fighting.
And it definitely does NOT mean every dollar you're spending is moving your case forward.
Because here's what you probably didn't know, some lawyers focus on solving problems while others spend their time merely managing conflict.
And if you don't understand the difference, you could spend years in litigation and tens of thousands of dollars without making any meaningful progress.
In this week's episode of Self-Represented in Family Court, we're discussing:
✔️ The difference between problem-solving and conflict management;
✔️ The red flags that may indicate your attorney is reacting instead of strategizing;
✔️ Why fighting every battle can actually hurt your case;
✔️ How to know if your legal fees are creating progress or just creating more conflict;
✔️ What you should be doing to hold your attorney accountable.
Because at the end of the day your goals shouldn't include staying in litigation.
Your goal should be solving actual problems.
