What a cruel waste of tax dollars! Philadelphia ICE arrests of noncriminal immigrants has skyrocketed in 2017 to 64% of their arrests.

"[A]ccording to interviews, sworn affidavits, and court filings, [Philly ICE acted] by trespassing, conducting warrantless searches, engaging in racial profiling, fabricating evidence, and even soliciting a bribe."

My clients live in fear. They are doing the right thing, hiring a lawyer to legalize their status, but Trump and ICE want to detain people regardless of whether they have pending applications.

Please read the Inquirer article about how Philly's ICE office is the most aggressive in the country in hunting undocumented immigrants without criminal convictions - this ICE office mostly goes to the counties outside of Philadelphia to do its dirty work.

I'm also posting the ProPublica version here in case you can't access the Inquirer article.

Nowhere have federal immigration agents more aggressively embraced their newfound freedom than in Pennsylvania an investigation by ProPublica and the Inquirer found in part one of a three-part series.

Just filed two 100 page + asylum applications in court yesterday and today - one scheduled for a hearing in Sept 2020 and one in November 2019. What you have heard about delays in the immigration legal process is correct!
