It is with great sadness that we pass along the following:

Julia Faye Lollar, age 78 of Oakman, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at her residence.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 22, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel. Burial will be at Walker Memory Gardens. Bunky Smith will officiate.

Mrs. Lollar was preceded in death by her Husband-Wilburn Ray Lollar; Parents-Sammy and Ruby Lee (Banks) Walton; Sister-Betty Jean Walton Martin and husband Ralph Martin; Nephew-Charles Watson Martin.

She is survived by her Daughter-Nicole King (Jimmy); Son-Chris Lollar (Karen); Grandchildren-McKenzie King, Hannah King and Maci Lollar.

Autumn Harris died in 2018 in the Walker County Jail from pneumonia. She had been diagnosed before he arrest, but the lawsuit claims medical staff never documented treating her before she died.

Harris said the jail never contacted him to tell him about his daughter’s death.
