Crazy what you can learn watching PBS Kids with your children.

A jellyfish only a few millimeters wide reminded me that sometimes what looks like the end can actually be the beginning of something new.

PCSing to or from Jacksonville? ⚓️🏠

Here are 3 things I think every military family should know:

1️⃣ Jacksonville is HUGE.
Don’t choose a home based on mileage alone. Your commute to NAS Jax or Mayport can look completely different depending on the neighborhood, traffic, bridges, and time of day.

2️⃣ Think one PCS ahead.
If you’re buying, ask yourself: “What happens to this house if I get orders again in 2–3 years?” Selling isn’t your only option, but not every home makes a great future rental either.

3️⃣ Build some cushion into your timeline.
Your report date, closing date, movers, temporary lodging, inspections, appraisal, and HHG delivery don’t always cooperate. Give yourself room for the unexpected.

A PCS move has enough moving pieces already. Having someone local who understands the military side AND the Jacksonville market can make a big difference.
