Robin Hood Esq., accredited Veterans Disability Attorney I worked for several years as a VA claims adjudicator, and am now an attorney representing VA claimants with their claims/appeals.

Yes, my name really is Robin Hood. My law firm thought I was messing with them when they got my resume. You've got to understand, I was born in the early 1970s to a young couple, and my father was a real smartaleck. Still, it's a very fitting name; I get to go up against the VA and get benefits for deserving Veterans and widows. :)

That phone number is my desk phone. I might not answer it, but leave me a voice mail and I can have one of my legal assistants set us up a telephone call. I generally set aside Wednesdays for scheduled phone calls. Or send me an email with your name and phone number and I'll ask her to set us up that way.

Monday Update.

Gotta get better at doing these.

had a BVA hearing today with a guy that got terribly injured in a motorcycle accident. He is service connected for vertigo and was warned less than two years prior to his accident that his balance issues were bad for motorcycle riding. And then he has a single vehicle crash in clear dry well-lit conditions with no drugs or alcohol or mechanical defects. That doesn’t leave much room for causes other than his vertigo (he can’t remember the crash itself and there’s no witnesses).

My new attorneys have new staff starting today, and I’ve put together some training for them to try and get them up to speed as quickly as possible, because…..

Boy howdy is my law firm finally paying attention to what we do! They are actually marketing and sending us cases. Some of you may have even seen the ads.

The September VA statistics are out. Expect a post soon.

my July 3, 2026 cartoon that accompanied my memo, and the BVA decision that dropped today.  unemployability pushed back from 2020 all the way back to May of 2021. Almost 20 years of retro pay.

 I’ve told the case manager to give the Veteran a call to share the good news.

I have not made a post update in a while. I’m gonna start doing better about that. I’ve just been so busy and haven’t had a lot of energy to spare.

 so today is boss’s day in my team  did this for me.

 they also insist that I go buy some new clothes because left to my own devices, I will wear the same suit coat for 15 years,  and gave me a gift card to a men’s shop.
