⚖️ FLORIDA FAMILY LAW: DID YOU KNOW?
Can you modify a child support order in Florida?
Yes! In Florida, child support orders may be modified when there has been a substantial change in circumstances.
Some common reasons for requesting a modification include:
✅ An increase or decrease in either parent's income.
✅ A change in the child's financial needs.
✅ A substantial change in the parenting or time-sharing arrangement.
✅ Changes in health insurance or childcare expenses.
Important: Child support does not automatically change simply because your financial circumstances have changed. Generally, you must seek a modification through the appropriate legal process.
