Confusion and inaccuracies abound with Woods' latest mishap. DUI's are different, and the public, including the media, oftentimes gets it wrong. For example, Mark Shlabach, a longtime veteran sports reporter erroneously claimed that Woods was arrested, in part, because he refused a breath and urine test. This never happens in Florida. Evidentiary breath tests (unlike the pre arrest inadmissible tests) never take place until after a person is arrested for DUI. Even when a person blows .000, it does not mean the charges are instantly dropped. Woods, like many, take medications that can cause impairment and only blood and urine tests can show their presence.
