After lunching on pizza and having kitty litter cake for dessert Lori needed to go home and take her curlers out, Melanie needed to go home and welcome some souls into hell, Alexis needed to take Dante home and I needed to go home to rest after working out all day! Hi! I’m looking for a part time reception for my law office in Jackson CA. Perfect job for a parent with a child in school. We are a small office but we serve a variety of clients. We are looking for someone who is responsible, caring and has an upbeat personality! I am happy to announce that my Jackson office will be opening back up for in person consultations on June 1! Amador County is at Stage 2 opening and I will be disinfecting the office and getting other supplies to safely open to the public. I will still do phone consultations but we can sign trusts and meet with clients again - still maintaining safe distance and all other protocols that are State mandated. My staff - Patricia, Heather, Lexi and I are all excited to be opening again and seeing clients!

I am saddened by the announcement that Justice Kennedy is retiring. I literally did not believe it when Emily told me so I did what any well informed attorney would do - I called Justice Kennedy’s office in Washington to hear straight from the source if in fact the news was true. I’m sure the admin who answered thought I was crazy when the first thing out of my mouth was “Is it true? Is Kennedy retiring?” She said “who is this?”!! After explaining my connection to him she said “yes - it is true”. I told her to wish Kennedy all the best but that I was sad for myself and the country. She said they all were too.
My years of reading case law at McGeorge and taking the class in Salzburg with Justice Kennedy made me respect him even more - I studied Constitutional Law in Salzburg with a Supreme Court Justice! How cool was that?! For a Canadian girl to learn about the founding father’s and how brilliantly they set up a country with “checks and balances” was phenomenal! I still have the con law pocket guide signed by Justice Kennedy. He was so patient and kind to pose for photos on the last night big dinner but also after class one day when I asked him spur of the moment! Tiffany Andrews and I went to Washington and got sworn in the Supreme Court with fellow McGeorge Alums and got a private audience with Kennedy. He was so down to earth and approachable for a man of such power, he was humble. He made well reasoned decisions based on the law. As a nation, we were lucky to have him as a top jurisprudence for as long as we did. He decided some very important cases and he deserves retirment!! I will miss you on the bench your honor!! 👍

I do not expect my clients to do this but it certainly is a wonderful surprise when a floral delivery drops off not one but 2 beautiful bouquets!! There is nothing better than happy clients!! I especially like that they included my staff, Patricia, Heather, and Lexi receiving their own bouquet because they recognize we are a team!
