Posting about monetary amounts will always feel a little strange to me. But in my line of work, that’s how results are measured, reputations are built, and client trust is earned.
At the end of the day, my job as an attorney is to make sure my clients are fairly compensated for injuries caused by someone else, so they can focus on what matters most: recovering and rebuilding their lives.
If you’ve never suffered a serious injury, count yourself lucky. Most people don’t fully understand the true cost of an injury until they experience it themselves. The impact reaches far beyond the physical. It can touch your career, your finances, your relationships, and nearly every aspect of the life you knew before.
It’s a strange world we live in, where getting insurance companies to pay what they owe can require an enormous battle of time, resources, and persistence. But that’s the reality. It’s not unlike fighting to get necessary medical treatment approved through the health insurance you already pay for. These companies are not designed for us.
This is an example of a great result I was able to obtain for a deserving client through grit, strategy, and a tremendous amount of hard work (all while taking on a massive corporation with the resources to employ two separate law firms and ten different attorneys to defend the case.)
In this day and age, powerful corporate interests have resources that most individuals could never hope to match. Our ability as attorneys to level that playing field and hold those companies accountable through the legal system is one of the most meaningful protections ordinary people have.
I don’t take that responsibility for granted.
