Here is what most people do not realize. A DUI arrest is not one case, it is two. There is the criminal charge, and there is a completely separate fight with the DMV over your license. That DMV clock gives you only 10 days from your arrest to request a hearing.
The good news is you have options, and you do not have to sort this out alone. Request that hearing in time and you can often keep driving while everything else gets worked out.
