Most people think about social media when they think about evidence in a personal injury case.

But what about AI?

This is a relatively new area of law, and courts are only beginning to grapple with how AI-generated content and AI conversations fit into existing discovery rules.

Today, AI chats are not routinely requested in personal injury cases. But as AI becomes part of everyday life, it is not hard to imagine a future where insurance companies and defense attorneys seek access to conversations about an accident, injuries, or a claim.

The law is still evolving, but one thing has not changed: if you would not want an insurance company, defense lawyer, or jury reading something, think carefully before putting it in writing.

Eighteen years ago I took an oath to fight for people who needed someone in their corner. This week, as Goharzad Law celebrates another anniversary, I’m taking a moment to feel grateful.
