This was always the expected outcome. I said in the beginning that I was confident there were no violations of criminal law by my client and expected him to be fully exonerated. That is exactly what happened. We are happy that the State Attorney’s Office came to the same conclusion. I maintain that the behavior of the Chairman was unprofessional and inappropriate and the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office and State Attorney’s Office should investigate her for the false allegations that led to this because that IS a crime.

The State Attorney’s Office will not pursue criminal charges against Citrus County Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Josh Wooten following a confrontation at a May 12 Citrus County Commission

I am representing Mr. Wooten and will be litigating this to the fullest extent during the entirety of the investigation. Glad we had the opportunity to provide our statement to the media. As I stated, I’m confident there were no violations of criminal law by my client. I’m confident my client will be fully exonerated because we will litigate it to the fullest extent.

What was apparent in the footage is a personal slanderous attack by a political opponent whose conduct was very unprofessional.
