INTERNATIONAL SPEAKING ENGAGEMENT - RAISE THE BAR
I have been flown all over the United States and spoke on the most prestigious platforms with brilliant lawyers.
Today, is my first “INTERNATIONAL” speaking engagement and opportunity to help lawyers grow their law firms.
Topic: How I Built A Multimillion Dollar Law Practice.
One tip that’s not in the notes is: In the beginning I had no sleep, no rest, and no money, but when God gives you a vision you must trust HIS voice.
I remember the day like yesterday. I had 2 criminal defense contracts. One in Hamilton County and one in Marion County. Both were guaranteed salary amounts.
I woke up like it was a normal business day and I heard the Lord say “resign because I have greater.”
I knew that had to be the devil and certainly not God. But for the next few weeks I kept hearing the word “RESIGN.”
So, I cried! I begged God to change his mind! I consulted with spiritual leaders who knew and believed in the prophetic gift. Then I finally pulled the plug.
What everyone see now is NOT how it started. It started with little to no income. It started with me left without a legal career.
Then I heard the Lord say I’m going to teach you people skills and patience. “Wait, what? I already have people skills
and patience.”
Then I heard God say now I want you to work at Speedway Gas station. I really wanted to tell Jesus “I know you F’ing lying” lol - but I didn’t cuss the Lord lol
I worked at Speedway gas station cleaning dirty bathrooms and standing at the register ringing up beer, ci******es, and gas etc ….
It was the most humbling situation. I must admit I did it but I did it angry almost everyday.
Then in my spirit I could sense Jesus saying I will release you when you serve with love in your heart. So for months I went to that gas station and cleaned the bathrooms like nobody’s business with a smile on my face.
Then the Lord spoke again. I’m releasing you. It’s time.
Whew! Thank God I’m heading back to practicing law. But NOPE!!!
The Lord said “now, I must teach you negotiation skills.” Jesus STOP PLAYING IN MY FACE.
I can’t make this up. He then said apply to Comcast cable company.
“Ok, Lord it’s better than Speedway gas station.” I applied to every managerial position and was declined.
The only position I “qualified” for was customer service. I still have my Comcast crew as friends on my FB page. Most didn’t believe I was a licensed attorney. At this point - I was starting to believe I wasn’t either lol.
You mean to tell me Lord you want me to deal with customers who about to lie to me about paying their bill. Or customers who going to be screaming in my face because their cable was cut off as if it’s my fault. The answer from Jesus was “yes, just trust me.”
Both, Speedway Gas Station and Comcast Customer Service Dept taught me so much. What I was taught law school could NEVER teach me.
So when you see my vision now - please know I gotta it from the MUD!!! What does that mean? It means “I built what I have from nothing, through hard work, struggle, and perseverance.” It was GRIT, pure GRIT.
