⚠️ FLOODING & NATURAL DISASTER: SNAP DEADLINE

If your food was lost because of flooding or another natural disaster, you may have only 10 days from the date of the food loss to request replacement SNAP benefits.

For example, for food lost during the flooding that began August 11 in Cambridge City and Connersville, the deadline may be August 21. If the 10th day falls on a weekend, the deadline extends to the following Monday, August 24.

🚨 IMPORTANT EXCEPTION: FSSA has extended the deadline in Lake and Porter counties through August 31.

The deadline is based on the date your food was lost—not the date you apply. If you experienced food loss due to the flooding or a natural disaster, apply for replacement SNAP benefits as soon as possible.
