Many so-called prophets in these streets have twisted God’s gifts for selfish ends. The man or woman who makes their own name great rather than Christ is a personality, not a prophet. The preacher who can speak strongly about lust and addiction but excuses the corruption of the rich and powerful is a politician, not a prophet. The pastor who lays burdens on the poor but never has a word of judgment for a society that favors the wealthy at the expense of the poor is a pundit, not a prophet.
Jesus is the final word, and the last prophet, sent from God to comfort the weak, challenge the strong, and make his kingdom known among us. Our latest message, “The Last Prophet,” is now available on our website and your podcast app.
