October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), which celebrates the contributions of America’s workers with disabilities and showcases supportive, inclusive employment policies and practices.

Last week, we had the pleasure of learning more about NDEAM and the Best Buddies Jobs program from Global Ambassador Hunter and the team!

An estimated 81% of adults with developmental disabilities do not have a paid job in the community. Best Buddies Jobs places participants with IDD in supported employment by matching skilled, qualified participants with businesses seeking enthusiastic and dedicated employees. Through the Jobs program, Best Buddies develops partnerships with employers, assists with the hiring process and provides ongoing support to the employee and employer.
