MADISON (LARSON) HENNESSY WELCOMED TO ROBERTS & EDDY, P.C. AS NEW ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY
Independence, IA (September 4, 2026) – Roberts & Eddy, P.C. is pleased to welcome Associate Attorney Madison (Larson) Hennessy to the firm.
Hennessy, who grew up right in Independence, began her higher education at Winona State University, where she earned her B.S. in Accounting. While interning as an accountant, she realized she needed a different career path. "My dad asked if I had ever considered law school. I hadn't, but the idea immediately caught my attention. After doing some research and talking it over with Brian Eddy, I decided to go for it. Just two days later, I started studying for the LSAT, and that decision four years ago ultimately set me on the path to becoming an attorney."
After graduating with honors from Winona State University, Hennessy began her studies at the University of Wisconsin Law School, where she pursued a concentration in Business Law and served as President of First-Generation Lawyers. She was also involved with the Young Lawyers Division (WI) and Business Law Division (WI). Throughout law school, Hennessy worked at Roberts & Eddy, P.C. as an intern, where she received continued mentorship. "The mentorship and support I've received from Brian, Jeremy, and the rest of my colleagues at Roberts & Eddy, P.C., from the day I decided to attend law school through taking the Bar Exam last month, confirmed that this is where I want to build my practice. The close-knit environment at the firm has always made me feel supported and truly like a valued member of the Roberts & Eddy, P.C. team."
Hennessy earned her J.D. with honors in May 2026 and was admitted to the State of Iowa and State of Wisconsin Bar. She is eager to be back in her hometown to serve her community while working at the firm. As she puts it, "I am so excited to be back home and to have the opportunity to serve the individuals, families, and businesses in the community that I grew up in." Hennessy's practice will focus on business law, estate planning, real estate, trust and estate administration, and taxation, working alongside Brian Eddy, President/CEO and shareholder of Roberts & Eddy, P.C.
