Happy Good Friday everyone! As we take time to reflect on this solemn day, let us also remember the importance of gratitude and kindness towards one another.

As a real estate agent, I am grateful for the opportunity to serve my community by helping families find their dream homes. It is a privilege to be a part of such an important decision and I am humbled by the trust my clients place in me.

Let us also remember those who may be going through challenging times, and let us extend a hand of kindness and support. Whether it's volunteering at a local shelter or simply checking in on a neighbor, let's make a difference in our communities today and every day.

A few days ago I told you about the experience of my husband and I buying our first home... Well, I have to tell the BLACK HALF.

The day before we found the house we got a call from the owner of the home we had just put an offer on. They told us a family just offered them $35000 MORE so unless we could match or offer higher they were going to accept this other offer. I honestly have never felt SO crushed. We walked, and I proclaimed I would NOT be looking at any more houses for AWHILE. The rollercoaster of emotions was just too much.
Fast forward an hour and I was back on my computer looking at houses. There was a new listing and I sheepishly told my husband we should go look at it... We did. The Owners of the home we originally put the offer on called us back just shortly before we left to go see the other house letting us know the 2nd offer they had doesn't actually have the money so it's ours if we still wanted it. WHAT?!! We let them know we had to think about it. The rest is history... We saw the other house and for the 1st time didn't question our answer.

2 LESSONS LEARNED -

1. Home is a feeling not a place.
2. I feel bad for the owners of house #1 that lost our offer because they didn't know how to vet their buyers. 😆 I've since learned how to NOT lose an offer.

I remember the day we toured the first house we purchased. We walked 3 rooms; The Living room, the kitchen and the master bedroom and unanimously my husband and I looked at each other and just knew this was HOME. We didn't even tour the whole house, it just felt different than any other home we'd toured.
