🚨 ATTENTION: LEGAL ALERT: BOI REPORTING 🚨
BOI Reporting is back in effect!
New reporting deadline is March 21, 2025 unless given a different date.
All initial, updated, and corrected reports must be submitted by the new deadline.
CORRECTING MISUNDERSTANDINGS: The CTA is not and was never a file once and done compliance law. It is ongoing compliance. If anything changes in the information you’ve reported in your last report, you are required to file an updated report. This not an annual filing. You file only if information changes. You’ll have 30 days to do so from the date of the change.
Need help staying on top of compliance? Don’t want to miss a filing deadline? We have put together a training to teach you about the legal side of this law and walk you step by step how to file your own reports as well as strategic tips to stay on top of compliance without stressing yourself out at complywithcta.com.
Missing a deadline or failing to file carries penalties of $500 per day or up to 2 years imprisonment and $10k in fines.
Remember the terms used for this law are legal terms with legal definitions, not dictionary definitions. The information to be disclosed depends on many factors.
That’s all for this Legal Alert.
Make sure to share this because many are still unaware that we are now back on again for reporting.
P.S. The case is still ongoing and we will know more as the case develops including whether CTA is here to stay.
Comply with CTA is brought to you by Legacy Legal.
NOTE: We no longer offer filing services for non-clients or consultations. Our self-filing training course is still available for a minimum investment and answers your questions.
