🆘🆘 The shelter needs the community right now more than ever! They are at critical capacity again…leaving absolutely zero room for new intakes. Volunteering, fostering, adopting, donating & sharing posts are all great ways to help out. Consider one of the above if you’re able and they are currently running an adoption special on all adult dogs! 🐕 🐶🦮
We feel like broken records 💔
Every day, it’s the same worry. Every kennel is full. Every nook and cranny of our shelter is occupied by a dog. Some available, some on cruelty case hold, some sick, some injured.
The phone rings non-stop. Calls with so many situations, but they all boil down to - we want the shelter to take these dogs.
And with every call, our hearts sink a little more. Where can all these dogs go? 😭
We are in an intake pause until we can find homes for the pets currently in our care.
And it breaks our hearts to say no when we desperately wish we could say yes - but we can only prioritize sick and injured at this time until we find current pets placement.
Please, give us grace. 😔 We are in this to help as many animals as we can, but sometimes we can't help them all at once.
Every single day, our team will push ourselves to the limit, doing everything we can for the animals who depend on us 🥺
Even with aching backs, heavy hearts, and stressed minds - we keep trying.
We keep trying:
-new things to help the dogs find a home (check out our current adoption special! $11 for adult dogs!)
-to reunite pets with their families (we will absolutely cut reclaim fees where we can if it means getting an animal back home 🥺)
-to support those who might be struggling financially with our food bank
-to help owned pets in our area be healthier with free vaccines to keep them from being surrendered for medical issues like parvo.
We’re trying, but we need the community’s understanding now more than ever 😔
How can you help?
-Adopt! We have dogs ranging from 5.6lbs to 82lbs! There are dogs of all shapes, sizes, coloring, play levels, etc!
-Foster! Even one night of fostering makes a difference!
-Volunteer! Come visit, hand out some treats, walk a dog on the trail. You might think, "well that's not doing much." But YES! Yes it is! It means the WORLD to the dog you walk 🥺
-Donate! One roll of paper towels? One can of food? We'll still be excited and grateful for the kindness ❤️
Every little bit of support counts! It's not always about one person doing immense things, but more about a lot of us doing little things to make a big difference ❤️ We appreciate you!
