This house has my heart 🫶 From the first day I walk into this home with Danielle, I knew it was something special.

Our Sellers lovingly preserved this 1913 Historical family home that has only ever been owned by 2 women - how cool is that?!?

From the soaring ceilings, the 4 fireplaces, the preserved woodwork, spacious room sizes, the porches, and the history (oh the stories we learned about this home ☺️), my heart loved this special property and wanted to take care of it.

I’d be lying if I said I didn’t run the numbers on it a few times to see if I could buy it myself 🥰

🍃🏡 AUGUST HOME MAINTENANCE CHECKLIST 🏡🍃

Can you believe we’re already in August? While everyone is thinking about back-to-school, it’s also a great time to give your home a little TLC before fall arrives.

A few hours of maintenance now can help prevent bigger (and more expensive) repairs later!

This month’s checklist:
✅ Deep clean your stove & oven
✅ Clean your garbage disposal
✅ Deep clean carpets and rugs
✅ Tighten and lubricate squeaky door hinges
✅ Inspect your basement or crawlspace for moisture
✅ Clean appliance hoses and check for leaks
✅ Fertilize your lawn
✅ Fill cracks in your driveway and sidewalks before cooler weather

💡 Homeowner Tip: Take a few minutes to inspect the water supply hoses behind your washing machine. If they’re cracked, bulging, or more than 5 years old, replacing them now could help prevent a costly water leak later.

Your home is one of your biggest investments. Taking care of the little things today helps protect its value for years to come.

PLOT TWIST… they didn’t have to leave the neighborhood after all. 😉

My Clients told me, “We love living near Chapman Mountain and 5-Points. We just don’t want to keep RENTING.”

Well… challenge accepted. 💪

We started looking, got them pre-approved, and before long… BOOM! Under Contract! 🏡

Now they’ll drive the same familiar roads, have the same short commute to work, and enjoy the neighborhood they’ve already fallen in love with… except this time, they’ll be coming home to a house that’s THEIRS.

Here’s the thing… so many Renters think buying a home means moving to a completely different area or waiting for “someday.” That’s not always true.

My favorite part of this job is helping people realize homeownership might be closer than they think.

Congratulations, y’all! And I still get to keep you as my neighbors in the Chapman Mountain & 5-Points area!!

🫣 Real Estate Agent Confession Time…

Guess which pair of shoes I wore to walk 7.5 acres in Ider, AL with a Client today? 👠🌿

Now guess which pair I usually keep in my trunk… but somehow left sitting in my garage this morning. 🥴🥾

Yep… the mud boots stayed home, and the wedges got promoted to “off-road footwear.”

Were they the right shoes? Not even a little.

Did we still hike the property, dodge mud, step over roots, get bitten by mosquitoes, and explore every inch of it? You bet we did. 😂

Real estate isn’t always pretty pictures and pretty houses. Sometimes it’s muddy fields, bugs, sweating through 100 degree Alabama summers, and making sure my clients don’t miss out on a property that’s worth seeing.

My shoes may not always be practical… but my commitment to my Clients always is. ❤️🏡
