For buyers, the current market offers something we haven't seen in a while: negotiating power without the rapid price increases of previous years.

With 3.4 months of inventory, a $349K median price, and 43% of sales closing below original list price, buyers still have opportunities to negotiate. At the same time, inventory is beginning to tighten, with permits down 32% year over year.

So, should you buy or rent? It depends on your timeline, how well you know Huntsville, and how long you plan to stay.
