A DBA may have its benefits, but protecting your business name is not one of them!

A DBA, short for “Doing Business As” name, is used to let the state know that you are conducting business under a specific name. It does NOT make you a registered business. It also does NOT protect your business name.

You will need a trademark to protect your business name, logo, and slogan. By doing so, people will not be able to use your business name, logo, and slogan for advertising the same or similar products and services you provide.

July 1st is almost here! If you didn’t receive notice of summer visitation dates from the non-custodial parent by the deadline in April, the default provision of the standard possession order applies. Under the default provision, the non-custodial parent’s summer visitation begins at 6:00 p.m. on July 1st and ends at 6:00 p.m. on July 31st.
