Ending last week with an adoption and starting off this week with another is always special but I teared up when I asked Miss Braylin if there was anything else she wanted to share with the Judge today.

She said “I love my dads and I love my brothers” in the sweetest, most genuine voice you’ve ever heard.

Happy National Adoption Month! I was so pleased to complete the sixth adoption for this wonderful family yesterday. They are so full of love and a true example of the hearts of fostering. ❤️

2022 in review:

30 adoptions finalized for amazing clients opening their homes to children in need. Two more filed and scheduled to start off next year.

28 of my clients were adopted into their forever homes.

17 of my clients were successfully reunified with their biological parents, with more reunifications to come over the holidays!

293 hearings. 82 MDTs. 90+ home and/or school visits.

I have incredibly tough days and sometimes weeks, but I try to remind myself that I have a tough day, so that my clients don’t have to have difficult lives.

I am so thankful that I have been able to do this work for the past eleven years and have been able to impact so many children and families. I look forward to many, many more years to come.
