That Instagram caption?
That TikTok rant?
That “subtle” quote about betrayal?

It’s not just content.

It’s evidence.

Judges don’t care how many likes you got.
They care about credibility.

I’ve seen:
• Angry posts cost custody time
• Vacation photos destroy support arguments
• “Harmless” DMs become courtroom exhibits
• Private stories screenshotted and subpoenaed

You think you’re venting.
Your ex’s attorney thinks you’re testifying.

Divorce is emotional.
Court is strategic.

Before you post — ask yourself:
👉 Would I be comfortable reading this out loud in front of a judge?

If the answer is no… don’t hit publish.

📌 Save this.
📤 Send it to someone going through a divorce.
⚖️ And if you’re in the middle of one — talk to your attorney before you talk to Instagram.

We caught up with Michael Alber at by in Huntington, NY.

We asked him one simple question:

👉 If your divorce looked like a housewives reunion, what would hurt you most in a courtroom?

His answer?
It’s not what you think.
It’s not money.
It’s not who talks louder.
It’s not who has the better story.

It’s how you act when the spotlight is on you.

Emotions. Ego. Social media.

That’s what judges notice.

"In real estate, generosity isn’t a strategy — it’s a mindset. 🤝
The agents who consistently show up for their clients, go the extra mile, and put people before transactions are the ones who build something lasting. Over time, that approach turns into trust, referrals, and relationships that keep growing year after year.

Chris’s perspective is a reminder that when you lead with people first, success tends to follow. 📈"

You work long hours to give your kids everything.
The house. The stability. The opportunities.

But in a custody case, the question isn’t *just* how much you provide…

It’s how present you are.

Courts focus on the “best interests of the child” — and that includes time, involvement, consistency, and availability. Working hard doesn’t automatically hurt your case. But how your schedule impacts parenting **can** become a factor.

Before you assume your job puts you at a disadvantage, understand this:

Providing financially matters.
Being present matters more.
Strategy matters most.

If you’re worried your work schedule could affect custody, get ahead of it — not behind it.

📩 The team at **Alber Firm** helps parents protect both their careers and their custody rights.

She cheated… now what?

We sat down with to talk about what REALLY happens when betrayal hits a marriage 💔⚖️

Is it automatic alimony?
Do you “get everything”?
Does cheating even matter in court?

The answer might surprise you.

Before you make a move out of emotion… know your rights.

Group chat got a law degree now? 😅

Before you take legal advice from your cousin’s friend’s barber…

Ask yourself:
👉 Is this opinion… or strategy?
👉 Is this Google… or experience?
👉 Is this “I heard” … or “I’ve handled this case before”?

Your future isn’t a poll.
It’s a case.

**No Name on the Deed = No House in Divorce? Think Again.**

Just because your name isn’t on the deed doesn’t automatically mean you walk away with nothing.

In many states, the court looks at **when** the home was purchased, **how** it was paid for, and whether marital funds were used — not just whose name is on the paperwork.

If the house was bought during the marriage or mortgage payments were made with marital income, you may still have a claim.

Don’t assume. Don’t panic. And definitely don’t sign anything without understanding your rights.

Every case is fact-specific — and the details matter.

Comment “HOUSE” if you want a breakdown of how courts typically analyze this.

A Verbal Agreement Works… Until It Doesn’t.

You trust each other.
You shake hands.
You move forward.

Then circumstances change.
Memories get fuzzy.
And suddenly, there’s no proof of what was promised.

50/50 Custody: The Truth No One Wants to Say
Everyone says 50/50 is “fair.”

But custody isn’t about fairness between parents — it’s about stability for the child.

For some families, equal time works beautifully.
For others, it creates constant transitions, school disruption, emotional stress, and instability.

Judges don’t start with “what’s equal.”

They start with what’s in the best interest of the child.
That includes:
• Each parent’s availability
• Proximity to school
• Consistency in routine
• Ability to co-parent
• The child’s emotional needs

Sometimes equal time is right.
Sometimes it isn’t.

The truth? A parenting plan should fit the child — not the parents’ egos.

If you’re navigating custody, stop asking “what’s fair?”

Start asking “what creates stability?”
