🌺 **THE SPIRIT OF ALOHA IS CALLING!** 🌊

Have you ever walked into a place and immediately felt welcomed, relaxed, and happy just to be there?

That's exactly how I feel every time I walk through the doors at Duke's Huntington Beach!

Aloha is more than a greeting. It's kindness, generosity, friendship, and genuine connection. It's not just how you're treated, but how you're made to feel. ❤️

We've been spending time at Duke's preparing for our Women's Council of REALTORS® Orange County **2027 Installation Luncheon**, and on Friday, a few of us arrived early for our planning meeting and spontaneously enjoyed lunch together. My Caesar salad with grilled shrimp was absolutely delicious!

But the best part? The laughter, the friendships, the ocean views, and the joy of being together.

💙 **Leadership Isn't Just About the Year We Serve. It's About What We Leave Behind.**

What a privilege to present our **Leadership Accelerator Project — “Best Practices for Transition: Membership Director”** alongside my project partner, **Quy Nitta McDade**, at the Women's Council of REALTORS® California Fall State Meetings!

As we developed this project, one question guided us:

**How can we make leadership transitions easier, more accessible, and more accountable for those who follow us?**

Throughout our leadership journey, we gain valuable knowledge, build relationships, discover resources, and learn lessons that aren't always written down.

But what happens to all that knowledge when our leadership year ends?

Our goal was to create a practical, sustainable resource: a **Membership Director Transition Checklist**, with hyperlinks to essential resources, paired with a **Transition Commitment** that encourages collaboration, communication, and accountability between outgoing and incoming leaders.

During my introduction, I invited our fellow leaders to reflect on three simple words:

💙 **VISUALIZE.** What does a successful leadership transition look like?

🧡 **FEEL.** Imagine beginning your leadership year feeling confident, prepared, and supported.

💚 **ACT.** What can you do today to create that experience for the leader who follows you?

Quy then walked our fellow leaders through the checklist and how to put these best practices into action.

Because **successful leadership transitions don't happen by accident. They happen when we intentionally prepare, share our knowledge, and invest in those who come after us.**

I'm so grateful to have collaborated with Quy on this meaningful project and to have had the opportunity to share it with our Women's Council leadership community.
